Our Pastor

Pastor Matthew N. Greaves is the founder and senior leader of Faith Temple Worship Center (FTWCNY) in New Rochelle, New York. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Willingboro, NJ, he grew up as the fourth of five children in a household of faith. His father, Minister Keith Greaves, and mother, Missionary Angela McEwan, were active in ministry. From the age of 13, Matthew served as a church musician and musical director, even sharing the stage with Grammy Award-winning artists and producers during his youth. Although music was his first passion, he always had a deep love for the Bible, and he ultimately realized that his greatest gift is not just musical talent but following the lead of the Holy Spirit in all things.
In his late teenage years, Matthew accepted the call to preach, delivering sermons that resonated with people of all ages and backgrounds. He was ordained under extraordinary circumstances, nothing about his journey into ministry has been “usual” or predictable, a testament to the awesome way Yahweh(God) has directed his path.

After months of prayer and fasting for guidance, Pastor Matthew stepped out in faith to found Faith Temple Worship Center on June 13, 2014. The very first service was held in a hotel ballroom, a humble beginning that marked the start of a thriving ministry built on faith. From that first step, Pastor Matthew trusted Yahweh to provide, and indeed FTWCNY quickly grew beyond meeting in living rooms or temporary spaces.
Under Pastor Matthew’s leadership, FTWCNY has become known for passionate worship, solid biblical teaching, and community outreach. He has a gift for breaking down Scripture in an anointed yet down-to-earth way so that everyone can understand and apply it, regardless of age or background. This relatable approach has especially impacted young people; the church has hosted outreach events on college campuses around New York City, where students respond with great enthusiasm to his engaging presentation of the Gospel.

A talented songwriter and producer, Pastor Matthew also spearheaded a live worship album project for the church, releasing original songs like “Oh Give Thanks” (2016) and “Great is Yahweh” (2017) to glorify Yahweh through music. Additionally, he established annual faith-building conferences, including the Worshippers Only conference each spring, which reflect his vision of deepening believers’ relationship with Yahweh and the importance of worship in a believer’s life.
Pastor Matthew’s heart for ministry centers on prayer, obedience, and the desire to see Yahweh glorified in all things. Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Matthew and his wife, First Lady Dawne, extend their ministry through counseling and mentorship; together they host a podcast"XY Factor” a marriage and family ministry, offering Bible-based guidance to strengthen singles and families. Pastor Matthew currently resides in Connecticut with his wife, Dawne, two sons Elijah and Ethan, as well as daughter, Emery, and remains dedicated to serving both the congregation and the broader community with unwavering faith and compassion.
